Launched in 1994 by Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and her friend Daisy von Furth, X-girl is a womenswear brand based on "real clothing" that Kim and Daisy would personally want to wear. Considered a pioneer of "Girl's Movement" in the fashion industry, the brand's designs are inspired by rock, military, outdoor, sports, and various street culture factors.
